is as thorough as any we've ever seen, covering the nuts and bolts of airbrushing
from basic equipment and principles of operation, to advanced airbrush techniques.
Arttalk.com announces the opening of
a new exhibition, "Cycle/Auto Art" at the gallery in the
Square in Beacon. Featured from September 29 through November 2 will
be the works of Robert Anderson, Celia Buchanan, Joe Calabrese, A.D.
Cook, Leo Gonzales, Gerald Mendez, Tim Mitchell, Robert Paschal,
Pamela Shanteau, Craig Tracy and Peter West. Paintings, prints,
helmets, leather jackets, gas tanks, and more with an auto/motorcycle
will be exhibited.
A special feature will be a sculpture by Jerry Only of the renowned punk-rock
band "The Misfits". In addition, Jerry will be autographing the brand
new Limited Edition "Misfits Airbrushing Template" from Artool at the
opening reception on September 28th from 5pm to 8pm to which the public is cordially
invited.
Robert Anderson's artwork combines elements of the Old West with images of Hollywood
cowboys, pin-ups and science fiction. images are borrowed from historical and
film sources, western collectibles and the Pulp Fiction cover illustrations of
the '30s and '40s. Celia Buchanan's chosen medium of silk painting affords the
onlooker an offbeat view through a fabric stained glass window. Joe Calabrese's
vehicles and three-dimensional helmets were featured recently at the Airbrush
Expo in Atlantic City. A.D. Cook has been creating painting that reflect his
passion for life, with a current emphasis on large scale paintings of motorcycles.
Leo Gonzales' company recently completed "The Tommy Bike" for hot designer
Tommy Hilfiger. The work of Gerald Mendez features the whimsical work of custom
automotive
painting. Tim Mitchell, Pamela Shanteau, Craig Tracy and Peter West are all well
known for their work relating to automotive airbrushing.

Indian Summer Awarded Prize in Annual Airbrush Excellence Competition
A.D. has been selected
to receive an award in the 15th Annual Airbrush Excellence Competition.
All of this years projects are featured in the May/June 2001 Anniversary
issue of Airbrush Action magazine.

A.D. Cook Original Makes Airbrush Action Magazine Cover
Airbrush Action magazine announces the A.D. Cook
original painting, Indian Summer, will be featured on the cover of
their upcoming April issue. Learn how to paint this cover with the
detailed step-by-step article, which is slated to run as a two-part
series. The April issue will be available at the end of February.
Recently, we've
undertaken the idea of presenting the airbrush in a dynamic and
interactive way. Announcing the first in an series of Studio E-Books
available for artists and students. This informative, engaging

painting comes to life. Sometimes printed publications can be somewhat
